My name is Ulf Hedestig and have been working at the
department since 1988.Currently I am Director of undergraduate education
and a teacher in courses connected to the field of HCI and CSCW/CSCL.
My research interest is within ICT and learning, especially with a
focus on Computer Support for Collaborative Learning. During the recent
years I have been particpating in research projects in ICT and learning,
that mainly has been focused on mobile devices and personal technologies.
Another research topic has been development of learning centres and
study centres for distance learning.

of TILLIT project - a project between municipalities and county
counsil within eHealth.
• Evaluation
of Citizen e-service in the municipality of Skellefteå. Fall
2006.
• Crossmedia
design project. An Interreg project together with partners in Norway
and Academy North. (Financed by Interreg Mittskandia 2006-2007)
• Personal
Technologies in User-Centered Design of Collaborative Activities
for Decentralized Education. (2003 financed by the Council for the
Renewal of Higher Education)

Handhelds in Distance Learning. (2002, financed by DISTUM)

Social Context of Collaborative Distance Learning: A Cultural-Historical
Perspective (2000-2002, financed by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary

Projects
with focus on learning centres
•
Northern
Periphery project. Collaboration with Sweden (Akademi Norr), Scotland,
Norway, Finland and Iceland. One activity was to produce a common
course in learning centre development (2003-2004).
• Virtual
Educational Enivronment. Intereg-project between Finland, Sweden
and Norway. The purpose was to develop transnational learning centres.

Edvac. European Devise, Design, and Development within Vocational
training by means of Advance Communication technology. A Leonardo-project
in collaboration with Portugal, Sweden, Norway and Scotland (1996-1997)
