Examination

1. Reading Assignment

Each week, all students are assigned to thoroughly read the assigned chapters of the course literature. This division is done by the course instructor and it will be as following. In the table below the detailed information of the reading assignment is presented.

2. Reflection Assignment

Each student is obliged to created a page in the Cambro website related to this course. Based on the reading assignments for each week, he/she has to update at least one post entry on his/her page. This post entry should be at least 500 words and should contain personal reflection based on the reading assignment that each student should read thoroughly. The deadline for this post entry is on the Sunday of that week 5 pm. The students will be evaluated with pass or fail for this assignment.

Moreover for deeper understanding the litteerature of the course and becoming familiar with the vocabulary all students are encouraged to participate in updating the Wiki section of Cambro. Wiki is a database located in cambro that will be updated collective by the teacher and students inorder to became familier with concepts and experiessions during the course. All students are encouraged to collaborate in updating the Wiki whenever they encounter a new concept and experssion.   

3. Reviewing Post Entries Assignment

Each week students are arranged in groups of four. These groups will be assigned for each Lesson and announced via Cambro. As a member in the group each student is assigned to comment on the other three members post entries in their personal pages. Moreover each student should send an email to fmoradi@informatik.umu.se, describing on whose post he/she and had commented and copy pate his/her comment. In the following is an example on how this email might look like. Please note that the title of this email would preferably be “Reviewing Assignment Lesson X Name FamilyName”.

Title: Reviewing Assignment Lesson 3 by Margeret Johansson
“For this week’s reviewing post entries, I have comment on post entries by Anna, Fatemeh and Naushin. I conducted these comments on 4 of April. In Anna posts regarding her reflection on onto-epistomology of Karen Brad I have commented the following statement ,....”

It is highly recommended that you copy the same comment preferably with the date that has been posted. These comments should be at least 50 words and it should contribute to the discussion with in the discourse of the class. The content of the comments and the strengths of your arguments are essential in receiving the passing grade for this assignment. Note that for your convince the deadline of this assignment is two days after the week of the lesson. So as an example lessen three, is on week 16 but the deadline for this assignment for lesson three is till 9.4.2017 . The students will be evaluated with pass or fail for this assignment.

4. Compulsory Online Discussions

In this online course we are experiencing four compulsory online discussion. These virtual meetings will be conducted on Arobat Adob and the link to this seminar room will be announced via Cambro. These seminars are designed in order to bring the teacher and the students closer to one another and provide a platform for discussing issues related to the course. Note that participation on these seminars is compulsory in order to receive passing grade for this assignment. In case you are not able to participate these seminars we strictly emphasize that you contact the instructors as soon as possible. The students will be evaluated with pass or fail for this assignment. The dates of these seminars are as follows.

Lesson Two: Thursday 30.3.2017, from 10 am – 12 pm

Lesson Four: Thursday 20.4.2017, from 10 am – 12 pm

Lesson Six: Thursday 11.5.2017, from 10 am – 12 pm

Lesson Eight: Monday 29.5.2017, from 10 am – 12 pm

5. Final Essay

As the final assignment in this course, all the students are required to submit an individual final essay. This essay is the personal reflection on the course assignments and reflection on your post entries through out the course. More importantly you are highly requested to express your reflection on how this course will effect the way you are conducting research in your own field of study. You are allowed to use references to other related sources but have in consideration that in order to receive a passing grade for your final assay there should be clear references to the course literature. This assignment will be graded in fail (F), pass (G) or pass with distinction (VG). Your answers should be well argued and grammatically constructed. For elaborating your assay we highly recommend that you reflect on your post entries and the comments you have received by your group mates. This assay should be more than 5 pages (A4, Font: Times New Roman, Size: 12, Line Spacing: 1.0) and less than 10 pages. The deadline for submitting your assays is Friday 2.6.2017, 8 pm. The submission of this assignment is through the Cambro webpage for this course.
