This seminar will take its departure in a case study and focus on data quality. The quality of the data in the data base was low. Mechanisms will be identified that in the case generated low data quality. Focus will then be turned to the question of how predictable this low data quality was? Are research results available in a way that could have prevented the system in the case from implementing mechanisms generating (or worse, unavoidably leads to) low quality of data? Features of data quality research will be discussed in search of an answer to these questions.
