ITL - Interaction Theory Lab
We have started up a new research program under the name Interaction Theory Lab.
The focus for the Lab is on theory- and design centered research on innovative IT use.Currently we are exploring innovative services for mobile ad-hoc networks
including interaction management, session management, and conversational interfaces.Areas of interest include interaction dynamics, mobile meetings, augmented reality,
and fluid work enhancement technologies.Members:

Current projects:
Interaction Dynamics Computing
In this project we explore how to support the dynamics of human-human and human-computer interaction
with mobile information technology. We define Interaction Dynamics Computing as:
""Applications designed to take into account the fluidity and everchanging appearance of information resources in the surrounding, and uses these resources to support all varoious kinds of interaction, including e.g. the exploration, circulation, and integration of these resources".The concept of Interaction Dynamics is theoretically approached from traditional communication theories regarding both individual communication and mass communication.
Technically, we are interested in how mobile ad hoc and peer-to-peer networks can be used to support the dynamics of modern interaction.
As one part of this project we currently explore how to design set theory based interfaces (STIs) to provide overviews of available resources in dynamically changing ad hoc networks. Thus, we are more interested in the dynamics in ad hoc networks and how it can support the dynamics of human interaction than e.g. service discovery services to identify wireless devices to enable a stable connection e.g. to a printer. Instead of the stable, we are interested in the ever changing, the fluid, and the dynamic aspects of computing and human interaction.
Double layered ad hoc networks
In this project we explore the concept of double layered ad hoc networks to ease ad hoc software development/testing as well as ease demonstrations of ad hoc applications.
