Digital Media Production

Today newly emerging technologies are used to create, develop, and deliver content for all sorts of media such as CD, DVD, television, broadband Internet, etc. These courses teach the skills necessary for students wishing to make a career in this rapidly expanding field.

Course Descriptions

  • Informatics with emphasis in Digital Editing and Post Production A, 30 ECTS credits (syllabus)

    The subjects of post production and digital editing are introduced. Students learn the basic principles and practices of these activities and become familiar with the main ideas and theories of digital media production. Further students learn how to analyse and evaluate the suitability of usage of different medias and IT-artefacts.

  • Informatics with emphasis in Digital Editing and Post Production B, 30 ECTS credits (syllabus)

    As a continuation of the above course students obtain a deeper understanding of the basic principles and practices of post production and digital editing. Further students improve their practical skills, obtain knowledge of Internet based media production and study theories of experience.

  • Informatics with emphasis in Creative Media Production A, 30 ECTS credits (syllabus)

    The aim of the course is to introduce the subject of creative media production, provide practical experience in how this knowledge is used and make the student confident with principles and theories within media and digital production. Further the student obtains knowledge of analysis and evaluation of the suitability of usage of different medias and IT-artefacts.

  • Informatics with emphasis in Creative Media Production B, 30 ECTS credits (syllabus)

    The aim of the course is to provide a basis for understanding of the likely way in which digital media may change the society of the future. Further students improve their knowledge of tools and methods which are currently used in digital image processing, perform cross-media integration and study vector-based graphics with particular emphasis upon script based animation.

  • Informatics with emphasis in Creative Media Production C, 30 ECTS credits (syllabus)

    Contemporary issues and trends in digital media are discussed. Focus is placed upon improving the student's ability as a designer through critical evaluation. Finally, a major project in digital media design must be completed. This may be in the form of a working application or of a critical paper in the form of a research report.
