Master's in Human Computer InteractionInformation technology is being introduced into more and more devices at an ever increasing rate. For such IT-artifacts to be efficient and effective an understanding is needed of the way in which humans interact with technology. The master's programme in human-computer interaction consist of studies in both informatics and computer science combined with relevant research areas such as interaction design, cognitive science and product design. The programme provides a solid background for work in areas where interaction between people and information technology is a central theme. The education provides the student with the competence necessary to perform practical and research work in analysis, design and development of IT-artifacts in the international market. After graduating from the programme the student will be able to perform user studies, evaluate the usability of IT-artifacts, asses the effects of their implementation and participate in the development of new artifacts.
