IT Organisation, autumn 2016

Welcome to the course IT Organisation, autumn 2016! The course examines how organisations manage information technology (IT) as a resource in their operations. Emphasis is placed on how organisations manage structures, processes, human resources and technology in order to achieve their objectives. More specifically the course focuses in the social, technological and political aspects associated with the management of IT in organisations. The course also includes a critical analysis of the opportunities and risks which IT incurs for organisations. This analysis integrates concepts and frameworks from a number of disciplines such as innovation theory, organisation studies and IT management.
